Where to Buy CBD Oil in Malta (2026 Guide)
Where to buy CBD oil in Malta and Gozo in 2026: shops, pharmacies or online, what the law says, and the five checks to make before you pay.

On this page
Short answer: yes, you can buy CBD oil in Malta and Gozo. You’ll find it in some pharmacies, health food shops and CBD or hemp shops, and you can order it online for delivery to your door. What matters more than where you buy is what you buy: a THC-free product, with a lab report for the batch in your hand, from a seller you can actually reach.
This guide covers the places to buy CBD in Malta, what the law says since May 2025, the five checks to make before you pay, and how delivery works if you order from us.
Where can you buy CBD oil in Malta?
Pharmacies
A few pharmacies stock CBD oil, usually one or two brands at a single strength. The upside is that you can ask the pharmacist about any medication you take. The downside is choice: you may not find the strength you want, and few pharmacies can show you a lab report for the batch on the shelf.
Health food shops
Health shops in Sliema, St Julian’s, Valletta and Victoria often carry a small CBD range alongside vitamins. Quality varies a lot from brand to brand, so the checks below matter even more here.
CBD and hemp shops
Malta has a number of specialist cannabis and hemp shops, especially since the 2021 reform. Some sell CBD oils; many also sell hemp flower or products made with semi-synthetic cannabinoids. Be careful: HHC, HHC-O, THC-P and similar semi-synthetic cannabinoids are banned in Malta, and a shop that sells them is not one to trust with what you put in your body.
Online
Ordering online gives you the widest choice and the easiest way to compare strengths, ingredients and lab reports before you buy. If you order from outside Malta, the parcel goes through Customs, and you will want the product’s lab report to hand. Ordering from a seller that ships within Malta avoids that.
Is CBD legal in Malta?
Since 16 May 2025, Maltese law (Cap. 101, as amended by Act XII of 2025) lists CBD as a non-psychoactive phytocannabinoid. Extracts and products made from non-psychoactive cannabinoids that contain no more than 0.2% psychoactive cannabinoids fall outside the legal definition of cannabis. CBD products are sold as food supplements and cosmetics, so they can’t be sold with health claims, and you don’t need a prescription to buy them.
Medical cannabis is a separate, prescription-only system, and the rules on growing and carrying cannabis for personal use are different again. Read our full guide: Is CBD legal in Malta? The law in 2026.
Five checks before you buy CBD oil in Malta
- A lab report for the batch you’re buying. A certificate of analysis (COA) from an independent lab should show how much CBD is in the bottle, the THC result, and tests for heavy metals and pesticides. It should match the batch number on the label, not be a sample from years ago.
- The CBD per drop, not just the big number. “1,000mg” means little until you know the bottle size. In a 10ml bottle, 1,000mg is 10%, about 5mg of CBD per drop. That is how you compare prices fairly: cost per mg of CBD.
- THC. Look for a product that is THC-free, and check the THC line on the lab report. Steer clear of anything containing HHC or other semi-synthetic cannabinoids.
- A short ingredient list. A good CBD oil needs only hemp extract and a carrier oil. Ours is hemp extract in organic hemp seed oil, nothing else.
- Someone you can reach. Real customer support, a clear returns policy and reviews you can check on an independent site such as Trustpilot.
How strong should your first CBD oil be?
Most people start with a 10% oil (about 5mg of CBD per drop) and take 5 drops under the tongue once a day. Stronger oils simply put more CBD in each drop: a 20% gives about 10mg, a 30% about 15mg. If you don’t want to count drops, gummies give a fixed amount in each one. See all strengths in our CBD oil range, or start with the 10% CBD oil. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist first if you take any medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Frequently asked questions
Can I buy CBD oil in Malta without a prescription?
Yes. CBD oils are sold as food supplements, not medicines, so no prescription is needed. Prescription-only medical cannabis is a different system.
Will CBD oil make me feel high?
No. CBD is listed in Maltese law as non-psychoactive, and our oils are THC-free. Check the THC result on the lab report of any product you buy.
Is it cheaper to buy CBD oil online in Malta?
Usually, and it is easier to compare. Work out the cost per mg of CBD (price divided by the total mg) rather than comparing bottle prices.
Do you deliver CBD to Gozo?
Yes, free, to every address in Gozo and Malta. Order by 1pm on a working day for same-day dispatch; MaltaPost usually delivers in 2–5 working days.
Can I buy CBD gummies in Malta?
Yes. Our CBD gummies have 15mg of CBD in each one, are THC-free and lab tested. They contain gelatine, so they aren’t suitable for vegans.
Can you tell me which CBD product will help my condition?
No. CBD products are food supplements, so we can’t give medical advice or say they treat any condition. We’re happy to help you choose a product and strength. If you have a medical condition or take medication, talk to your doctor first.
